I'm Gina Loree Marks...

 

...and I'm a shiatsu practitioner and Co-Director of the Lionville Holistic Health Center.

Being a mom of four boys (and now single), has taught me the necessity of caring for the caretakers.

Many of my clients are moms and dads, as well as therapists and people in other positions of caretaking who understand there is a deep connection between their physical and emotional health. When we get overwhelmed with the burdens of our situations - whether personal or professional - it can affect our health dramatically.

Shiatsu (shee-ah-tsoo) - a Japanese form of bodywork that addresses many levels of our being - as well as fascial release, hip alignment work, soft tissue release and myoskeletal techniques, all serve to 'right' the body again, and allow you to feel at home again in your own skin.

I've also had the good fortune to be able to pair up with other therapists here at the Center - filling in the gaps where my own work may fall short - as well as to offer classes in Qigong and couples massage in order to give you a wide array of resources to support your health and well-being.

I'm an AOBTA-certified graduate of the International School of Shiatsu in Doylestown, PA. I also have been immersed in the study of herbs and macrobiotics for over 20 years. My journey though homebirthing, homeschooling and raising a family using as much complementary health support as possible has allowed me to be sensitive to the needs of women in our technological culture trying to do the same.

My hours are (by appointment):

  • Monday - Friday: 9 am - 7pm
  • Saturday: 9 am - 2 pm

My rates are:

  • Shiatsu session (one hour): $70 (I also have 30 and 90 minute sessions..)
  • Shiatsu session with ginger compress: $90
  • Shiatsu facial: (half hour): $40
